OWAY EBIKE WARRANTY

 

Every OWAY Ebike is covered by our manufacturers limited warranty for the original purchaser against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.

 

Important Notes:

 

* Warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

* Warranty parts are shipped only to the original shipping country of the purchased bike.

* Any modification, reprogramming, or unauthorized alteration of the ebike by the user may void the warranty.

* Normal tear and wear are not covered.

 

 

WARRANTY COVERAGE

 

Battery / Motor / Controller Warranty

 

The battery, motor, and controller are covered by a 12-month limited warranty from the original purchase date.

* Free replacement parts provided

* Shipping cost fully covered by OWAY

For quality-related defects:

* Free replacement parts provided

* Buyer responsible for shipping cost

After 12 Months

Warranty expires:

* Replacement parts and shipping costs are the buyers responsibility

Battery warranty does not cover:

* Damage caused by power surges

* Improper use of the charger

* Improper maintenance

* Water damage

* Misuse or abuse

* Normal battery performance degradation

 

 Frame and Components Warranty

The following components are covered against manufacturing defects:

* Frame* Forks* Stem* Handlebars* Headset* Seat post* Saddle* Brakes (excluding brake pads)

* Lights* Bottom bracket* Crank set* Pedals* Rims* Wheel hub* Freewheel* Cassette

* Derailleur* Shifter* Throttle* Wiring harness* LCD display (excluding water damage)

* Kickstand* Reflectors* Hardware

Coverage Period:

14 days from original purchase date

After warranty parts are approved and sent out, customers are responsible for shipping costs.

 

EXCLUSIONS

 The warranty does not cover:

* Incorrect assembly or installation by the customer

* Improper use, abuse, negligence, or accidents

* Unauthorized modifications

* Improper maintenance

* Normal tear and wear

* Consumable items including:

    * Tires

    * Tubes

    * Brake pads

    * Cables and housing

    * Grips

    * Chains

    * Spokes

* Water damage

* Cosmetic damage

* Damage caused in moving the carton after delivery is done

* Defects resulting from improper storage

SHIPPING DAMAGE CLAIMS

Please inspect your package immediately upon delivery.

Shipping damage claims must be reported to OWAY Ebike within 7 days of receiving the shipment.

Claims submitted after 7 days may not be accepted.

Please provide:

* Photos of packaging

* Photos of damaged parts

* Videos if necessary

 

BIKE MODIFICATION POLICY

 Every OWAY Ebike is thoroughly tested and programmed before leaving the factory.

We do not recommend customers to modify or reprogram the bike.

Any unauthorized modifications may void the warranty.

LIABILITY DISCLAIMER

 Users are fully responsible for their actions while operating an electric bicycle.

 OWAY Ebike shall not be responsible or liable for:

 * Accidents

* Injuries

* Property damage

* Personal losses

 We recommend consulting your insurance provider regarding ebike coverage.

 Note:

OWAY Ebike reserves the right to request photos or videos before approving any replacement parts.

 

 WHAT WE WILL DO

If a component is confirmed to have a manufacturing defect without customer misuse:

 * We will provide replacement parts

* We will assist with troubleshooting and installation guidance

* Shipping damage parts will be replaced

Please note:

Labor costs for installation are not covered under warranty.

If warranty becomes void due to misuse, negligence, or modifications, repair and replacement costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Is this e-bike street legal in my area?

Our e-bikes are designed for off-road or private property use unless otherwise stated. Regulations vary by state and country. Please check your local laws regarding speed, power, and road use before riding.

Who is this bike best suited for?

This bike is ideal for experienced riders looking for high performance, speed, and torque. It may not be suitable for beginners or riders unfamiliar with powerful electric bikes.

Do I need a license or registration to ride this bike?

Requirements vary by location. In some areas, high-speed or high-power e-bikes may require registration, insurance, or a license. Please consult local regulations.

Are taxes or duties included in the price?

E-bikes are shipped tax-free with free shipping. Accessories may be subject to a 10% tax, depending on the destination.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), as well as supported installment payment providers shown at checkout.

Is my payment secure?

Yes. All payments are processed through encrypted and PCI-compliant payment gateways. We never store your full card details.

Can I cancel or change my order after payment?

Orders can only be modified or canceled before shipment. Once the bike has shipped, cancellation is no longer possible.

Do you confirm orders before shipping?

Yes. For high-value orders, we may contact you by email or SMS to confirm purchase details before shipment to prevent fraud and ensure order accuracy.

After-Sales & Warranty

What is considered “normal wear and tear”?

Items such as brake pads, tires, chains, and bearings are considered wear-and-tear parts and are not covered under warranty unless defective upon arrival.

Does the warranty cover accidental damage?

No. Damage caused by crashes, misuse, water immersion, improper installation, or unauthorized modifications is not covered under warranty.

Can I return the bike after riding it?

Due to the nature of the product, used e-bikes are not eligible for free returns. Please inspect all specifications carefully before riding.

What if I don’t know how to assemble or maintain the bike?

We provide installation guides and video tutorials. Basic mechanical knowledge is recommended. Improper assembly may cause damage or safety risks.

Are modifications allowed?

Any third-party or self-modifications are done at the rider’s own risk and may void the warranty.

What happens if the bike gets damaged during riding?

High-performance e-bikes involve higher speeds and risks. Riders are responsible for safe operation and proper protective gear. Damage caused during riding is not considered a manufacturing defect.
